Guidelines to Facilitate Participant Movement at EIC 2025

Due to the large number of EIC participants, please be considerate and follow proper etiquette.

  1. To move between Hotel Iris, the EIC hall, and the lunch venue, please refer to the provided map.
  2. It is ideal to walk already dressed in dōgi directly from the hotel to the hall. The walk takes about 5 minutes along the marked route. The hall’s changing rooms are not large.
  3. In the EIC hall, you may leave your shoes in the changing rooms and continue in indoor slippers. Please take your slippers with you to your designated spot in the hall. You may also take your outdoor shoes in your bag if you prefer not to leave them in the changing room.
  4. The hall’s seating area will be divided into a competitor zone and a spectator zone, which will be separated. Competitors will enter the seating area from the competition floor.
  5. Throughout the day, you may use Eva Hall for warm-ups.
  6. Staff wearing green and white T-shirts will assist you with movement and orientation throughout the venue. Don’t hesitate to ask them for help.
  7. Refreshments will be available all day at the buffet in the entrance hall lobby, located above the seating area. There is a small seating area. You can purchase hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks and light snacks. Payment is accepted in cash or by card.

Lunch System

Please be considerate and do not linger unnecessarily in the dining area after eating.

Friday, November 7, 2025
  1. Group A (12:00 – 13:00):
    ZNKR, EKF, CKF, and official EIC referees have a dedicated dining room. They go to lunch at the beginning of the lunch period.
  2. Group B (12:00 – 13:00):
    Technical grades 7–5 dan go simultaneously with Group A to their separate dining room. Lunch is picked up at the window upon presenting a meal voucher. Please return the dishes afterward.
  3. Group C (13:00 – 14:00):
    Technical grades 4 dan – mudan go after Group B to the same dining room. Lunch is picked up at the window upon presenting a meal voucher. Please return the dishes afterward.
  4. Organizers will go to lunch in both groups according to instructions from their manager.

Saturday, November 8, 2025
  1. Group A (13:00 – 14:00):
    ZNKR, EKF, CKF, and official EIC referees have a dedicated dining room. They go to lunch at the beginning of the lunch period.
  2. Group B (13:00 – 13:45):
    Competitors advancing to the KO system + staff (as instructed by their manager) go simultaneously with Group A to their separate dining room. Lunch is picked up at the window upon presenting a meal voucher. Please return the dishes afterward.
  3. Group C (13:45 – 14:30):
    Other competitors who finished in pools + staff (as instructed by their manager) go after Group B to the same dining room. Lunch is picked up at the window upon presenting a meal voucher. Please return the dishes afterward.

Sunday, November 9, 2025
  1. Group A (13:00 – 13:45):
    ZNKR, EKF, CKF, and official EIC referees have a dedicated dining room. They go to lunch at the beginning of the lunch period.
  2. Group B (13:00 – 13:45):
    Exam participants + staff (as instructed by their manager) go simultaneously with Group A to their separate dining room. Lunch is picked up at the window upon presenting a meal voucher. Please return the dishes afterward.
  3. Group C (13:45 – 14:30):
    All others + staff (as instructed by their manager) go after Group B to the same dining room. Lunch is picked up at the window upon presenting a meal voucher. Please return the dishes afterward.
